It has strong flame retardancy (via Cl-P synergy), works as an additive in polymers like polyurethane, is soluble in organic solvents but slightly water-soluble (4.1 g/L at 20°C), and its chloroethyl/phosphate groups undergo substitution/nucleophilic reactions under specific conditions.

  2. As a flame retardant and plasticizer for rubber, it is often used in the production of rubber transport belts, rubber seals and other products.
  3. Added to nitro fiber paint, ethyl fiber paint and other coatings, so that the coating plays a decorative and protective role at the same time, with better fire safety.
