  • Bisphenol A polycarbonate has good oxidative stability, largely because of the absence of secondary and tertiary carbon atoms. The polymer is stable in air up to 150℃ over long periods; at higher temperatures some oxidation and cross-linking occur. Ultraviolet light is strongly absorbed by the polycarbonate and causes crazing and degradation. However, such effects are restricted to the surface and in-depth deterioration does not occur. Thus, whilst film may become brittle on weathering, moulded parts are not seriously affected.
  • Bisphenol A polycarbonate may be melt-processed by all of the standard techniques although its melt-viscosity is rather high. Despite its fairly high cost, the polymer has found a wide variety of uses. The largest application is in the electronics/business machine field for such parts as connectors, terminals and covers. An important new application is for compact discs. Other uses include glazing, safety glasses, medical devices and domestic appliance housing.

  1.  Used in the manufacture of electronic computers, televisions, radios, audio equipment and household appliances, such as insulated connectors, coil frames, gaskets, etc.; also used in the manufacture of instrument housings, hand drills, hair dryers, lamps and controllers and so on.
  2.  It can be used to manufacture polycarbonate hollow sunshine board, hollow rib double-wall board, warm room glass, safety helmet, sunshade, hall lighting canopy, swimming pool and stadium roof, large-scale buildings and vegetable greenhouse roof cover, etc..
  3. Mainly used in the production of cars and light trucks of all kinds of parts, such as processing lighting systems, instrument panels, heating panels, defrosters and bumpers made of polycarbonate alloy.
  4.  Can be used for the manufacture of optical discs, lenses, optical lenses, etc., can also be used for the production of large lampshades, explosion-proof lamps, high-temperature lenses or aperture mirrors, protective glass, window glass, etc., and can even be used as an aircraft cockpit windows, optical instruments, left and right eyepiece barrels, the large objective lens shells and so on.
  5.  Can be used as a variety of gears, worms, turbines, pump impellers, throttle valves, lubricating oil pipeline, a variety of shells, covers, containers, refrigeration and cooling device parts.
  6.  In medical treatment, it is widely used in artificial kidney hemodialysis equipment, high-pressure syringes, surgical masks, disposable dental appliances, blood oxygenator, blood collection memory, blood separator, etc..
  7.  Can be made into water buckets, beverage bottles, tea cups, baby bottles and bottles, bowls, plates and other food packaging.
