AEO 9 (C12-C18 Alcohol Polyethoxylate-9) is a nonionic surfactant with the chemical name ethoxylated C12-C18 alcohol and the molecular formula C12H25O(CH2CH2O)9H. Molecular weight: 582.81. It is produced by the addition of 9 moles of ethylene oxide to natural fatty alcohols, combining a lipophilic, hydrophobic long-chain alkyl group with a hydrophilic polyoxyethylene segment. It appears as a milky white paste (at 25°C), is easily soluble in water, has good stability, and exhibits excellent biodegradability.
