Carbamazepina（Carbamazepine）is a synthetic benzodiazepine compound appearing as a white or off-white crystalline powder, odorless or nearly odorless. MF: C₁₅H₁₂N₂O, MW: 236.27. Its molecule contains a dibenzazepine ring (tricyclic conjugated system) and a formamide group (-CONH₂). The structure is stable, and the conjugated system confers specific ultraviolet absorption characteristics (maximum absorption wavelength approximately 285 nm). Under light exposure, the tricyclic conjugated system is prone to photodegradation, yielding pharmacologically inactive products. Therefore, formulations must be packaged in light-protected containers.

Carbamazepine is used for antineuralgic therapy, such as treating trigeminal neuralgia, postherpetic neuralgia, glossopharyngeal neuralgia, etc.
Carbamazepine is used for psychiatric disorders, such as mania, bipolar disorder, and adjunctive treatment of affective symptoms in schizophrenia.
Carbamazepine is used for alcohol withdrawal syndrome, restless legs syndrome, and other conditions.
