
Cesium hydroxide (MF: CsHO MW:149.91) is an extremely strong alkaline inorganic compound. It is a white deliquescent solid that dissolves readily in water and releases a large amount of heat. Its aqueous solution is strongly alkaline and highly corrosive. It easily absorbs carbon dioxide and moisture from the air, leading to deterioration. Featuring active chemical properties, it reacts violently with acids, acidic oxides and salts, while remaining stable at high temperatures. With strong hygroscopicity and severe corrosiveness, it must be stored in a sealed, dry place isolated from air, and direct contact with skin and mucous membranes is strictly prohibited.
