Dicyclohexylcarbodiimide (DCC), MF: C₁₃H₂₂N₂ MW: 206.33, is an organic condensing agent belonging to the carbodiimide class. At room temperature, it is a white crystalline solid that decomposes readily upon contact with water and is highly hygroscopic. It is highly soluble in organic solvents and serves as a classic dehydrating condensing agent in organic and peptide synthesis, offering mild reaction conditions and high condensation efficiency.
