  1.  As a feed additive, DL-Methionine primarily serves as a methionine supplement for animals (particularly poultry, swine, and aquaculture). Its core functions include: enhancing feed protein utilisation to promote growth and development; preventing deficiency disorders caused by inadequate methionine; and improving feed palatability.
  2.  As a food fortifier and additive, it improves amino acid composition and processing properties in products such as cereal breakfast foods, infant formula, sports nutrition (protein powders), baked goods, and meat products.
