As a pharmaceutical intermediate, imidazole serves as a key raw material for synthesizing drug molecules containing imidazole rings, such as antifungal agents, antiulcer drugs, and antiviral drugs.
As a pesticide intermediate, it is used to synthesize fungicides, insecticides, herbicides, etc.
