Kojic acid dipalmitate is a derivative of kojic acid, with the molecular formula C₄₀H₆₆O₆ and a molecular weight of 642.95. It exhibits high chemical stability, is resistant to light, heat, and oxidation, and does not readily complex with metal ions, causing discoloration. It is not significantly acidic or corrosive, is almost insoluble in water, readily soluble in oils and fats, can inhibit tyrosinase activity, and has whitening effects. It is stable in weakly acidic and weakly alkaline environments.
