LiTFSI /Lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide (LiTFSI) is a white crystalline powder, highly hygroscopic, with formula LiN(SO₂CF₃)₂. It is freely soluble in water, alcohols, and polar aprotic solvents (carbonates, ethers, nitriles), insoluble in nonpolar hydrocarbons. It exhibits high thermal stability (decomposition >370°C), excellent electrochemical stability, and high ionic conductivity in electrolytes. It is stable under neutral/acidic conditions but decomposes in strong base.
