Molybdenum trioxide, with the molecular formula MoO₃, is a white or pale yellow crystalline powder. It is stable at room temperature, slightly soluble in water, soluble in strong alkalis and concentrated acids, and readily sublimates and decomposes at high temperatures. It is primarily used in chemical catalysts, metallurgical alloy additives, ceramic pigments, electronic materials, and analytical reagents.

Electronics and New Energy Materials：molybdenum vi oxide is used in semiconductor devices, thin-film materials, lithium battery electrode modification, optoelectronic sensors, and microelectronic functional materials.
Ceramics and Glass Industry：molybdenum trioxide is used as a high-grade coloring agent and decolorizing clarifying agent in the production and processing of high-temperature-resistant ceramics, glass, and glazes.
Fine Chemicals and Other Applications：MoO3 is used in the preparation of various molybdate chemical raw materials, laboratory analytical reagents, anti-corrosion coating materials, and flame retardant additives.
