Its molecular chain contains amide groups (-CONH₂), enabling reactions such as hydrolysis and cross-linking. It exhibits excellent thermal stability. Cationic polyacrylamide carries a positive charge, while anionic polyacrylamide carries a negative charge, enabling adsorption or flocculation with substances of opposite charge.
