Potassium hexafluorophosphate (molecular formula F₆P·K, molecular weight 184.06) is a colorless to white crystalline powdery inorganic fluorophosphate with a face-centered cubic crystal structure, forming square or rectangular plate-like crystals. It is an important potassium salt source for the hexafluorophosphate anion. While chemically stable, it is incompatible with strong acids and exhibits hygroscopic and corrosive properties. It is widely used in organic synthesis, electrochemistry, materials science, and other fields, serving as a key inorganic chemical raw material.
