Sodium sarcosinate, CAS: 4316-73-8, molecular formula, molecular weight 111.07. White crystalline solid, highly soluble in water, and its aqueous solution is strongly alkaline. Melting point: 118-122°C (decomposes), no boiling point, readily decomposes upon heating. It possesses surface activity, is stable, non-toxic, biodegradable, and can react with acids to form sarcosine.
