Sodium silicate (MF: Na₂O·nSiO₂; MW: 122.06) is a soluble inorganic silicate. Its aqueous solution is commonly known as water glass and serves as a mineral binder. Its core characteristics include strong bonding strength, acid and heat resistance, and an alkaline aqueous solution. The modulus (n = SiO₂/Na₂O molar ratio) is a key parameter that determines its solubility and applications.
