  1. Applications of styrene in polymer synthesis:
    – Used to synthesize homopolymers such as general-purpose polystyrene (GPPS) and high-impact polystyrene (HIPS).
    – Used to synthesize copolymers such as ABS resin, styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) elastomer, and acrylonitrile-styrene-acrylonitrile (AS) resin.
    – Other polymer materials: ion exchange resins, unsaturated polyester resins (UPR)
  2.  Small quantities of Vinyl Benzene are used to dissolve natural rubber, synthetic rubber (e.g., SBR), polystyrene, nitrocellulose, and other resins; it serves as a solvent or diluent for coatings, adhesives, and printing inks.
  3.  Vinyl Benzene is used to synthesize fine chemical intermediates: styrene derivatives, alicyclic pharmaceutical intermediates, aromatic fragrances, and specialty chemicals.
