Product Application Of Tall Oil Fatty Acid CAS 61790-12-3

  1. Through saponification, tall oil fatty acid soap is produced, which is used to manufacture industrial detergents, emulsifiers, and foaming agents, particularly suitable for hard water environments with strong cleaning capabilities.
  2. As a raw material for synthesising fatty acid derivatives, it is used in liquid detergents, metal cleaners, and other products.
  3. It is used to produce alkyd resins and polyester resins, which are important film-forming components in coatings and inks.
  4. As a component of drying oils, TOFA participates in the drying process of inks, enhancing their stability and printing performance.
  5. It can be formulated into emulsifiers and lubricants in metal cutting fluids and rolling oils, reducing friction and wear during metal processing.
  6. TOFA reacts with metal ions to form metal soaps, which are used as rust inhibitors to protect metal surfaces from corrosion.
  7. As a softener and plasticiser in rubber processing, it improves the processing performance of rubber and enhances the flexibility of rubber products.
  8. In plastic production, it can be used as a release agent to facilitate the smooth removal of plastic products from moulds.
  9. In mineral processing, it is used as a flotation agent to separate minerals (such as metallic and non-metallic minerals), improving mineral processing efficiency.
  10. As an additive in oilfield drilling fluids, it serves lubricating, emulsifying, and corrosion-inhibiting functions,
    and is also used as raw material for the production of lubricating oils, grease products, and feed additives, etc.
